Repair Café Silicon Valley hosts repair events across Santa Clara County each month. Bring your electronics, small appliances, clothing, bikes, jewelry, computers, toys, or anything else you need fixing to be repaired by our skilled volunteers, for free.

How do I get something fixed?

Bring it to a Repair Café! Our volunteers love a challenge so if you can carry it in we’ll do our best to get it back in service for you. We have electronics experts who love to solder, woodworkers who love to glue, sewing experts who love to stitch, and bike mechanics who love to grease things.

Sometimes we can fix it, sometimes we can identify the problem and send you home with a plan, and sometimes it may be time to recycle an item. But we’ll have a good time and know we are helping the environment by extending the life of the things we love.

How can I help?

Experienced tinkerer? Born organizer? Just want to learn? You can help, even if you’ve never used a screwdriver before you can make a difference.

Students: sign up for our apprentice program! We’ll pair you up with an experienced fixer who will help you build your troubleshooting skills.

    We are returning to the Rinconada Library in Palo Alto for another weeknight event! There will be sewing, jewelry, and general repairs, but no bikes this time.

  • Textile Repair Café at the Almaden Library (San Jose)

    Do you have a torn garment, broken zipper, or a teddy bear that’s lost its stuffing? Bring it to our textiles-only Repair Café! We are partnering with Eco-Catalyst and the Almaden Library to offer free repairs and beginner-friendly workshops.

    No appliances, electronics, or bike repairs at this event.

  • Repair Café at the Museum of American Heritage (Palo Alto)

    Sunday, August 2nd, 2026

    Join us as we return to the Museum of American Heritage in Palo Alto to fix your favorite things. Limit two items per household. Check-in is scheduled to close at 2:30 PM, but may close earlier if we reach capacity.

  • Sustainable Style Exchange and Mending Clinic (San Jose)

    Our friends at the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation are holding a Sustainable Style Exchange and Mending Clinic. Exchange once-loved threads for a new look, get items mended, learn how to restyle and upcycle clothes, win a sewing machine, and more.

    Only textile repairs will be offered at this event, no electronics, appliances, or bikes.

  • Repair Café at the Mountain View Senior Center

    Repair Café is returning to the Mountain View Senior Center. Everyone is welcome to bring items for repair. Limit two items per household. Check-in is scheduled to close at 2:30 PM, but may close earlier if we reach capacity.

  • Repair Café at Milpitas Library

    Saturday, August 22nd, 2026
    11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    160 North Main Street, Milpitas

    Join us at the Milpitas Library for another Repair Café! We will be repairing everything from toasters to trousers. Limit two items per household. Check-in is scheduled to close at 2:30 PM, but may close earlier if we reach capacity.

  • Repair Café in Willow Glen

    Saturday, August 29th, 2026
    2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
    2175 Lincoln Ave, San Jose

    Repair Café and the Willow Glen Neighborhood Association are teaming up again to provide free repairs on everything from rice cookers to ripped jeans. We will be at the Willow Glen Community Center.

    This is an afternoon event (later start then our other events). Limit two items per household. Check-in is scheduled to close at 4:30 PM, but may close earlier if we reach capacity.

  • Repair Café at West Valley Community College

    Repair Café is once again partnering with the West Valley College Democracy Institute to provide free repairs. We will be in the Cilker Lounge and this event is open to the public as well as faculty and students.

  • Repair Café at the Gilroy Library

    We are coming back to Gilroy! We’ll be at the Gilroy Library offering free repairs and repair advice. So gather up your broken household items and come on by. Limit two items per household. Check-in is scheduled to close at 2:30 PM, but may close earlier if we reach capacity.

  • Repair Café at Hacker Dojo (Mountain View)
